Venerable Nyanaramsi​​

Bhante Nyanaramsi was an accountant before he was ordained in 1995 at the Chanmyay Yeiktha Meditation Centre in Yangon with Venerable Chanmyay Yeiktha Sayadaw U Janakabhivamsa as his preceptor. He had also studied the Dhamma and meditation under Sayadaw U Indaka and other Sayadaws in Myanmar. Bhante spent 9 vassas in Myanmar before he accepted an invitation from SJBA to come back to Malaysia in 2003 to teach the Dhamma and meditation to Malaysian Buddhists. Bhante is now the Abbot of Subang Jaya Vihara. He also travel frequently to Taiwan, Thailand, Myanmar and Indonesia to conduct meditation retreats.

Sayadaw U Rewata​

Sayadaw U Rewata was born in 1955 in Thonse, Myanmar. He graduated in 1980 with Bachelor of Science at the Rangoon University. He was ordained in 1983. He followed Pariyatti and Patipatti under the guidance of Most Venerable Chanmyay Sayadaw U Janakabhivamsa. He has travelled widely to many countries like Japan, USA, Canada, India, etc for missionary work, teaching Metta Bhavana, Vipassana Bhavana, Suttanta Recitations, etc.

He had served as the Abbot in Hmawbi, Yangon, Abbot of the Satipatthana Vipassana Association, Springfield, USA, He came to Subang Jaya Buddhist Association in August 1996 (and stay until 2008, and again in 2012 to 2015) to guide Subang Jaya Buddha Association in its Dhamma missionary work, teaching the Dhamma and meditation and conducting meditation retreats. Sayadaw U Rewata has come back to Subang Jaya Buddhist Association again on 2 July 2023 to continue in his Dhamma mission.

Bhante Indarathana

Bhante Indarathana hails from Sri Lanka and has been residing in Malaysia since 2012 under the guidance of Most Venerable Chief Reverend Saranankara Maha Thera of the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. He has been the resident monk of Subang Jaya Buddhist Association since 2016, Malaysia.

His excellent academic accomplishment in GCE Advanced Level Examination, earned him a Merit scholarship to Sri Lanka’s prestigious law school at the University of Colombo where he graduated with LLB (hons) Degree in 2010. Bhante Indarathana Continue his academic studies after arriving in Malaysia where he obtained a master’s degree in counselling psychology at HELP University, Kuala Lumpur.

As a Buddhist monk and spiritual teacher, he frequently teaches both secular and Buddhist meditation and mindfulness training to children, university students, as well as adults and the elderly in Malaysia. He also offers psychological, personal, and spiritual counselling to people from all walks of life using Buddhist principles and philosophy combined with modern psycho therapeutic approaches. He has done all these services on a voluntary basis for the benefit of so many people so far.
