1) SJBA Youth Section will be making house calls to bring New Year greetings and songs, Buddhist hymns and good wishes to the hosts and family on 2nd February 2020, Sunday. Those who wish to invite them to your homes on 2nd February 2020, may book through Sis. Lily at Tel. 03-56348181 or call Bro Leng Wei 016-3589521.

2) SJBA cordially invite you and family and friends to join us at our “Gong Xi, Gong Xi” Dinner on 8th February 2020, Saturday, 7pm to celebrate the Chinese New Year together and promote fellowship as we enjoy the various program planned for the night together with our special guests from the Old Folks Homes. You many bring along some food to share with others and angpows for the old folks too (about 45 pax). 

3) SJBA Sunday Dhamma School will reopen on 16 February 2020, Sunday for both new and old students (age from 5 years to 16 years old). Registration of new students will also be conducted on the same day.

 4) SJBA is organising a Vipassana Meditation Retreat in April, 2020 as follows:     Venue: Chin Swee Temple, Genting      Teacher: SJBA Abbot, Venerable Nyanaramsi.       Dates: April 11 to 18 Ven. Nyanaramsi is the Abbot of SJBA Vihara. He is a highly respected meditation teacher who provides meticulous guidance and advice to all practitioners. This is thus a rare blessing to be guided by such a wise, experienced and patient teacher.

2) SJBA will be conducting the forthcoming Grand 28 Buddhas Puja Ceremony on 4 January 2020, Saturday, 7.00pm – 10.00pm. In preparation for this auspicious occasion, the Venerable Members of the Sangha will be leading in the Chanting of the 28 Buddhas daily (8.30am – 11.00am . 7.30pm – 10.00pm plus afternoon session at 1.00pm – 3.00pm on Saturday and Sunday) until a total of 1,000 times. Sponsorship for this auspicious events are most welcome (Main Sponsor RM1,000 and sponsorship of any amount). 1) SJBA is organising the 13th Annual Educare Program in SJBA in aid of needy students, providing them with school items to start the new school term. It is expected that about 500 needy students in Subang Jaya/USJ/Sunway/Sungei Way and rural areas will receive the school items on 8 December 2018 (9am to 12pm). Each student will receive a full set of school items which consists of school bags, shoes, books, stationary, etc. which costs about RM108.00. The amount may not be a lot but it is a simple yet significant gesture of ours to show our care and concern to poor students. We hope that through this simple but sincere gesture, the students are motivated to study better and achieve academic success and eventually success in life.
This noble task can be achieved with the continuous support of our members and devotees. If you wish to sponsor one or more students, please contact Sis. Lily 03-56348181, 56315299.The Educare Program will be held in SJBA Shrine Hall on 8 December 2019, 9am to 12pm. Hence the Sunday Puja on that day will be off.

He obtained his BA (Hons) from the  University of Kelaniya and M. Litt. from University of Oxford. Dr. Ratnyaka teaches early Buddhism, Mindfulness, Buddhist Philosophy and Pali.

Teoh graduated from University of Malaya in Civil Engineering in 1979. He had been a spiritual practitioner cum ‘Meditator’ since 1971.  Since his retirement in 2001 from his engineering career, he has been sharing his understanding and experiences with all who are keen in the search for true happiness, peace and liberation from birth and death and all mental suffering to become a more virtuous, noble and wiser human being. He gives talks and hold meditation  and Dhamma classes at various Dhamma Centres.

1) Metta Meditation sessions are held every Monday at SJBA Meditation Hall from 8.30pm to 9.45pm. This cultivation of metta focus on loving kindness to oneself, loved ones and all other beings. All are welcome.

2) Devotees are welcome to have self-practice in Vipassana Meditation every Thursday from 8.30pm to 9.45pm at our Meditation Hall.
